2012-2013 AP European Summer Information

Welcome to AP European History please feel free to search through the site to get a feel for some of the things we will do and/or utilize the resources to get you ready for the upcoming year.

AP Summer Assignment (click on title to your left)

  • This assignment is optional (extra-credit) but those who complete it are usually much more prepared and have a great jump-start in the course.


AP Summer Supplemental Reading Assignment (see below)

  • The supplemental reading assignment will be a list of sources that you could read to give you some basic background information to prepare you for the course. It has been two years for many of you since you last had a history course so the more you prep, the better off you'll be. 
  • Palmer Outlines:
    • Rise of Europe this is not from our textbook but it is great general background information in simple outline form.
    • Upheaval in Christendom in this chapter focus on 14th century information and the differences between the Middle (Medieval) Ages and the Renaissance. 


Geography Maps (Review European Countries, Capital Cities, key rivers and physical features (mountains, regions, etc)
